  4. 1 large egg, beaten
  5. 1/2 cup whole grain or wheat flour (see Options)
  6. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  7. 1/2 cup golden brown sugar, packed, plus some for sprinkling
  8. 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  9. 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  10. 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  11. 1/2 tsp. salt
  12. 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen (un-thawed) blueberries
  13. 1/2 cup grated carrot, loosely packed
  14. 1/3 cup roasted, unsalted pumpkin seeds
