Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large, sided dish. Add the ribs and turn to coat. Marinate 4 hours or overnight, turning occasionally. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Place the ribs in a single layer, meaty side up, in a shallow-sided roasting pan. Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of the pan. Brush 1/2 the marinade left in the bowl over the ribs. Keep remaining marinade in the fridge. Cover and bake 60 minutes. Uncover and brush the ribs with remaining marinade. Cook, uncovered, 30 minutes more, or until tender and nicely glazed. Turn the oven to broil and broil a few minutes to glaze the top of the ribs. Remove from the oven and cool a few minutes, then cut in between each bone, arrange on a platter, spoon some of the pan juices over top and serve.
