Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Place the halibut in a non-stick or parchment-lined baking dish. Drizzle with the olive oil and lime juice; sprinkle with spices and herbs. Bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until just cooked through. Remove from the oven and cool slightly. While this occurs, heat the taco shells in the oven a few minutes. Coarsely flake the fish. Stuff the taco shells with lettuce, avocado, salsa, flaked fish and serve.
Recipe Options: Use other fish, such as snapper or salmon, instead of halibut. Top the tacos with other ingredients appeal, such thinly sliced bell pepper, red onions or grated cheese. Use guacamole instead of sliced avocado to flavour the tacos. To make a quick version of the dish, place one medium, peeled avocado and the juice of one lime juice in a bowl and mash well. Mix in 1/4 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup store-bought salsa.
