- Place the first four ingredients in a food processor or blender and pulse until smooth. Transfer dip to a serving bowl, cover and refrigerate.
- Preheat the oven to 425˚F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the wings and remaining ingredients, except garnish, in a bowl, toss to combine, and then arrange on the baking sheet.
- Bake the wings for 25 to 30 minutes, turning once, or until cooked through. Arrange wings on a platter with the avocado dip alongside. Garnish with lime slices and cilantro sprigs. Serve the wings with additional hot pepper sauce, if desired.
Note: Chicken wingettes, the middle part of the wing, and drumettes, the meatier portion, are available in our meat department.
Recipe Options: For added colour and flavour, sprinkle the wings with chopped fresh cilantro just before serving. For added richness, instead of light sour cream, use full fat. To make Tex-Mex chicken legs, replace the wings with four chicken legs, coating them with the spice mixture. Roast at 375 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes, or until cooked through.
