Nonna Pia's Gourmet Sauces

Meet our friends and trusted partners Natasha and Norm Strim, owners of Nonna Pia’s Gourmet Sauces located in Whistler, BC. They have been stocking our stores with their delectable balsamic reductions since 2012.

• Norm is a chef by trade and ran bars and restaurants before starting Nonna Pia’s. Natasha was a physiotherapist, that’s how she and Norm met; he was one of her patients!

• They have 2 kids, Georgia (14) and Oliver (12) who play instrumental roles in the business. The kids used to run the booth at markets and could do $2000-$3000 in sales all on their own!

• Nonna Pia’s started when Natasha decided to participate in a Christmas show only 3 weeks out! They bottled balsamic reductions every night in the weeks leading up to the show. They sold a bottle every 2 minutes. After that, they participated in markets across BC.

• Nonna Pia’s is named after Norm’s mom; she taught him how to cook at a young age because he needed to know how to cook just in case he married someone who couldn’t. These skills sure came in handy as Natasha hates cooking and can’t cook to save her life!

• Norm’s favourite reduction is the Strawberry Fig and he like to enjoy it with stuffed radicchio and bruschetta with blue cheese.

• Natasha’s favourite reduction is the Cabernet Merlot. She likes to enjoy it on potatoes with sour cream and green onion, yum!
