Meet Pat. This friendly, caring and conscientious volunteer is from Scotland and 32 years ago moved from the Lower Mainland to Parksville, where she has been a Sendial shopper since 2009. She learned about Sendial from attending a presentation while still working.

Pat finds Sendial satisfying and enables her to give back to the Community, while also providing good exercise. She enjoys socializing with customers, helping them receive groceries and appreciates the helpful Store staff. The friend’s Pat has made at Thrifty Foods are more like family to her.

Pat remembers once when a Scottish Sendial customer sent the volunteers a food tray at Christmas in appreciation of their help. Pat also volunteers in the local community welcoming new residents and includes Sendial information with her material provided to them.
