Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place all ingredients in a bowl and toss to combine. Spread pecans in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast the pecans 20 to 25 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Cool the pecans to room temperature, and then transfer to a tight sealing container until needed. The taste of the pecans becomes richer after a day or two of aging.
Note: Ancho and chipotle chili powder are sold in small jars in the spice aisle. If you can’t find it, you can replace it with more of the regular chili powder.
