Due to heightened online activity, we are constantly reviewing and upgrading our security measures to protect our customers' privacy.

Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind while resetting your password:

  • Your password must have at least 8 characters
  • Use unique and complex passwords with a variety of characters
  • Do not use the same password across multiple websites and apps
  • Keep your passwords private
  • Remember to change your passwords often

What do I do if I can’t log on?

  1. Try accessing your account by resetting your password using the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the log in page
  2. Try clearing your cache (see how to in ‘How do I clear my cache question below’

How do I clear my cache?

The cache is a group of temporary internet files that are saved onto your computer's hard drive by most websites you visit. The browser can sometimes display outdated information from the cache or load incorrectly. This is one of the main reasons why customers experience problems logging into their Thrifty Foods account.

Ensure that all your internet browser's cache is cleared. Your browser may also store temporary files if you have Thrifty Foods bookmarked or set as a favorite in your browser; please review all options on the Delete Browsing History screen and select (or deselect) only those options that apply to deleting Temporary Internet Files and Cookies.

Learn how to clear your cache depending on which browser you are using:

  1. Microsoft Edge

What do I do if I have forgotten my password?

Click on the "Forgot your password?" link on the Login page.

  1. Click on "Forgot Password?" on the Login page
  2. Enter your email address and click "Submit"
  3. You will receive an email explaining how to reset your password
  4. Click on the link in the email and follow the directions to create a new password
  5. The password is confirmed updated when you see the message ‘Your password has been changed successfully. Log in with your new password.’

Can I change my password?

Yes, you can. Please follow the steps below:

  1. On desktop website:
    1. Navigate to your account by clicking your name in the top right corner of the screen
    2. Under "Personal Information", select "Change Password"
    3. Enter your current password, your new password, and confirm your new password
    4. Select “Reset” to complete the password change.
  2. On laptop, tablet or mobile website:
    1. Navigate to your account by clicking the person icon in the top right corner of your screen
    2. Tap on the “Navigation” header and a drop-down list will appear, select “Personal Information”
    3. Tap on the “Navigation” header again and select “Change Password”
    4. Enter your current password, your new password, and confirm your new password
    5. Tap “Reset” to complete the password change.
  3. On a smartphone using the Thrifty Foods App:
    1. Tap on the three dots in the top right corner
    2. Tap “Profile Update” to access your Profile Information
    3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap “Change password”
    4. Enter your current password, your new password, and confirm your new password
    5. Tap “Reset” to complete the password change

How do I change my email on the website?

  1. On Desktop website
    1. Navigate to your account by clicking your name in the top right corner of the screen
    2. Select "Personal Information"
    3. Update the email address field and click save at the bottom.
  2. On laptop, tablet or mobile website:
    1. Navigate to your account by clicking the person icon in the top right corner of your screen
    2. Tap on the “Navigation” header and a drop-down list will appear, select “Personal Information”
    3. Update the email address field and click save at the bottom.
  3. If you require assistance contact our Customer Care Team by calling 250-544-1234 or toll-free at 1-866-948-0196 or by filling out the form in the Contact Us section.

How do I change my address on the website?

  1. On Desktop website
    1. Navigate to your account by clicking your name in the top right corner of the screen
    2. Under "Personal Information" select “Address Book”
    3. Click the pencil to edit an existing address OR select “Add A New Address” at the bottom and complete the required fields. Click save at the bottom.
  2. On laptop, tablet or mobile website:
    1. Navigate to your account by clicking the person icon in the top right corner of your screen
    2. Tap on the “Navigation” header and a drop-down list will appear, select “Personal Information”.
    3. Tap on the “Navigation” header again and a new drop-down list will appear, select “Address Book”.
    4. Click the pencil to edit an existing address OR select “Add A New Address” at the bottom and complete the required fields. Click save at the bottom.

What is the "Shopping List" function?

With this function, you can not only make a Shopping List for your regular grocery trip to the store, but you can make Shopping Lists for all sorts of occasions! You can then store these lists in your account, print them for in-store shopping, or transfer them to your shopping cart so you can order the items online in one easy step.

Once you are logged in, your selected shopping list will be displayed in the toolbar and will be known as your Active List. When you add a product to a list, it will be added directly to your Active List. You can easily switch your Active List within the toolbar.

How do I make a Shopping List?

There are two ways to make a Shopping List:

  1. Be sure that you are logged in and then go to your Active Lists tool bar (to the left of your name) and hover over your active shopping list name and select click on "Create New List".
  2. Be sure that you are logged in and then go to the Shopping Lists section of your account, click on "Create a Shopping List". Name your new list and then click on "Create".

How do I add items to my Shopping Lists?

You can add items to your lists in two ways, depending on which section of the website you are in:

  1. In the Online Grocery Store, click on the "Add to List" button beneath each item. The item will be added to your “active list” displayed in the top toolbar.
  2. In the Shopping Lists section of your profile, select the list you want, and add a keyword in the "Add an item" box.

What are Preferences and how do I manage them?

We offer a variety of email, shopping, and lifestyle preferences to enhance your experience. To manage:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Hover over your name in the top right corner, when the drop-down menu appears select Preferences
  3. Under each heading, check or uncheck the items depending if you would like them or not
  4. Click save after managing each heading

How do I close my account?

Please contact our Customer Care Team by email at info@thriftyfoods.com or by filling out the form in the Contact Us section. All requests for account deletion must be received in writing.
